I thought yesterday could not be topped. How wrong could I be? This day was absolutely amazing. I heard so many inspiring talks and lectures today which made me confident that a small Indie developer like myself really has a chance in this industry.

- Production Design in Gamse vs. Films by Habib Zargarpour, EA

Today me and several of my fellow students travelled to Stuttgart to attend this year's International Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Digital Media.
Since this is our first year at this event, we are not quite sure what to expect and even if this is a rewarding experience. On paper the program looks vast and quite massive though, which meant a lot of planning has to be done in order to get the most out of this conference.
Let's see how that works out for me.

Hi everyone,
My name is Oliver Eberlei and I am happy that you found your way around to my site.
This is my very first blog post, launching what is soon to become my own resource around games, animations and game development. I am currently studying Digital Media – Animation and Game at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt and I will use this blog to document my progress with developing games and to show my work to a wider audience. The universities curriculum schedules at least one game related project per semester, which means there will be a lot of material to learn and to post about.
